KRAFT MAYONNAISE KITCHENKraft Mayonnaise Kitchen in the Foods BuildingKraft demonstrated the manufacture of mayonnaise in a kitchen completely enclosed with tile and glass, ventilated and cooled with filtered air, to insure strict sanitation. The cream and blue tiles on three sides of the kitchen contrasted with silver, blue and neon trimmed outlines of the room and the deep vermilion background of the building. Mayonnaise was mixed in the exclusive Kraft Miracle Whip machine. The name "Miracle Whip" was also given to the new salad dressing that Kraft introduced at A Century of Progress. In order to to allow visitors to follow the normally speedy mayonnaise production process of combining oil, vinegar, and eggs, production was slowed down to one-sixth of the normal speed. As neon arrows flashed to each step of the process, a hidden voice explained what was happening.
