Most cats don't pay any attention to what's in a mirror. Sometimes Shelby looks like she is trying to figure out what's in the mirror. I have learned that cats don't understand what you are doing when you point at something. Instead of looking where you are pointing, they only look at your hand.

Shelby considers it part of her job to wake me up in the morning. If you have a cat, you don't need an alarm clock or a clock radio. It doesn't matter what time you want to get up. Your cat will always want to get you up an hour earlier so you can feed it breakfast.

Rub-a-dub-dub, two cats and a tub. Bathtubs are fun places for cats to play. Tasha is playing with a "cat crazy" and Shelby is watching. The cat crazies are great for batting around the slippery surface of the tub. They bounce off the sides and don't get lost. Bottle caps also can be batted around a tub.

Shelby gets very excited by little furry toy mice. She chases them for a while and then tries to eat them. I have to watch her carefully so she doesn't try to swallow the mouse whole and choke.

Cats need Variety and a good Home. They like to mind their own Business. They really don't care what's in the News. Whatever it is, they like to sleep on it. I wonder what Tasha is thinking here. Does she think she has found a friend?

I was experimenting with close-up mode on my camera, and Tasha let me get up real close for this picture.

Shelby is harder to photograph because she doesn't like to keep her eyes open and stay still long enough. I was lucky this time. She is so quick that she can disappear in the time between the sound of the shutter button and the time the camera actually records the picture.

Tasha loves to lie on her back. Sometimes she will nap like that; other times she just wants to stretch or have her tummy rubbed.

Shelby loves to lie on my slippers. Even if I am just gone for a few minutes, I often find her lying on them when I return. I guess it’s just one of those strange things cats do. I wish she would lie that close to me sometimes.
